During our recent western adventure, we decided that Campbell alone will never be adequate, for us, for extended adventures. To fix that, we are adding a travel trailer for our dwelling and using Campbell for what it does the best, which is exploration.
We ordered a new Casita Freedom travel trailer on the way home from Colorado. We named it Cocoon and we will use it as a base-camp. From camp, we will use Campbell to explore.
Setting up a base-camp allows us to spend more time in a remote location so we can more fully explore it.
Dedicating Campbell for exploration allows us to make it better for off-roading. The compromises for it to be both our extended dwelling and off-pavement travel are too great.
