Rooftop Bins

August 29, 2020 by Donald Anderson

Some necessary gear we carry is only used occasionally or even rarely. We put that part of our kit on the roof of Campbell to free up precious interior space. Weather-sealed bins ratchet strapped to the cargo rack hold the gear.

Plano Trunks

Plano trunks are an affordable solution for weatherproof storage and are used by many in the Overlanding community. The 1919 model without a rubber gasket is more readily available than 1919-99 which includes the rubber.

So we bought the 1919 model and added some Frost King weather sealing ourselves. It is self-adhesive and goes in the lid groove that covers the lip of the lower box. One package is exactly enough to seal two bins.
